Its head feathers are slightly ruffled and white. The upper crown is a patch of red skin that extends around its amber-colored eye, which is fully visible. The Crane's beak is long and gray, and angled downwards towards the Crane's body. Some pale gray and brown fringed feathers are visible at the upper-right and lower-right edge of frame.
