A medium, eye-level shot shows a Great Egret looking toward the left of the frame, near tall grass and pond plants, over a blue pond. The Egret is mostly white, with a long yellow beak, and a yellow eye. Its neck has a lot of short white feathers, while the body has large white feathers. Its wing is to the right of the frame as it stands and looks down. It stands just in front of tall green grass. To the left are taller pieces of light brown vegetation that look like reeds, extending from where they are rooted on the darker brown edge of the pond. Floating in the pond are green lily pads, and some other bits of plant debris at the surface. In the top right is some thin grass stretching out from the edge, and a small bit of out-of-focus light.
