Reflections.

The edge of the bank is covered in fallen, dead brown leaves, giving the scene a natural, somewhat swampy feel. The whole scene is reflected in the still surface of the water. The reflection is clear, so it's as if there are two egrets, one above the water and one below. The lighting in the scene is somewhat dappled, leaving a dark forest-like vibe. The contrast between the white bird and the darker surroundings is quite striking.
