Heron collecting twigs.

A heron stands on mottled ground, its beak oriented downward towards the left, as the bird seems to walk while picking up twigs. The colors of the bird's wings are a mixture of blues, grays, and coppery orange, along with small white feathers. The bird's neck is a sort of tawny gray, leading up to the bird's head, which is adorned with a white forelock and a dark gray cap atop the head. Yellow irises surround the bird's pupils, and the beak is yellow-orange towards the end and grayer or bluish towards the point where it joins with the head. The bird's legs are mottled dark gray like the plumage of the neck, and three thin, dark twigs lie beneath the bird's claw. Lightly mottled grass and foliage lie in the background, along with blurred shadows, and the light is clear and bright.
