Black and White Egret.

A high-angle, close-up, sepia-toned shot shows a white heron perched on a tangle of twigs and stems from a conifer in the left of the frame against a white background. The heron has a sleek white body, a long, tapered neck tucked between its shoulders, and a silver, pointed beak aimed downward. Its large round eye is dark with a defined black pupil. Several thin white feathers cascade down from the bird's breast. The bird's feet are obscured by the twiggy tangle of dark tree branches it is perched upon. The background is very bright white. The left side contains the out-of-focus, dark branches and stems that fade in color toward the upper left corner.
